A little bit about me

Had touble finding one good picture of me so here are nine bad ones.

Had touble finding one good picture of me so here are nine bad ones. This is me being happy, angry, young, dead, serious, hairless, a dolphin, old and finally my toes in Flatey island.

The really short version

I’m a 31 year old family man and computer scientist with 14 years of professional experience in most fields of information technology, especially programming, and a lifetime of enthusiasm for those magical machines we call computers.

Aspirations

First and foremost I’m going to be the world’s greatest dad (I’ve got books!) and a super husband but when I grow up I’m going to be a computer game producer and designer.

Family

I am married to the lovely Heidrun Berglind Finnsdottir and we’ve got two very strange cats and have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Anna Hrefna who now resides in heaven watching over mommy and daddy and Athena Katrin who was born April 9th 2010 and is currently keeping daddy’s sleep-pattern really interesting.

Interests

  • Everything to do with computers and the internet especially computer games and game design.
  • Mathematics, physics and astronomy (yes… really!).
  • Graphics, both computer and hand made. I draw, paint, color, design and so on and so forth. I’m especially fond of drawing dragons for some reason. :)
  • I can play the guitar (at least well enough for my daughter to cheer me on).

Other Stuff

  • I am thorough and organized, a quick study and I love to (and constantly need to) learn and try out new things.
  • In the 2009-2010 school year I instructed 5th to 8th grade children in the Reykjavik University sponsored Olympian Mathematics.
  • I have worked with the Hallvardur Sugandi Drama Club as a board member, stage designer, webmaster, project manager, producer and actor in various productions since 1998.
  • According to Facebook my IQ is 163 and that would make me roughly the 6th smartest person in Iceland. Facebook wouldn’t lie to us, would it? (Smell the irony please).
